Shaloom Care House (SCH) is working with and for all people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, their families and orphans. The extensive services offered by Shaloom Care House include psychosocial support, health care, education, material support, and legal advise to people living with HIV/AIDS. Additionally, the projects establishes groups of beneficiaries for them to participate in sharing life skills, experiences but also starting income generating projects. The project expects the volunteers/interns to participate in following task

  • Supporting the nurses in caring for people with HIV,
  • Organising awareness sessions,
  • Technical advise for the project activities.

Therefore, the volunteers or interns are required to have prior knowledge and/or work experience in the field of health care.

Project officer for health and nutrition program @TAHEA

Tanzania Home Economics Association (TAHEA) works with children, women and different communities in Mwanza. The NGO facilitates development processes among poor families and communities, supports them to utilise their potential to improve their living standards. It has different projects in areas of education, early childhood development, agriculture, health, nutrition, habitat and community managed micro-finance. The jobs of the interns include following tasks:

  • Field activities and data collection
  • Innovate the project,
  • Promote the project and the organisation,
  • Capacity building for the staff.

You should show a strong understanding and experience of results based management processes, including working in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL).
